ClimateCalc sertification
PREMERKO supports Finland's carbon neutral target 2035
PREMERKO has been sertified as a ClimateCalc-approved printing facility. ClimateCalc sertification requires annual inspections, where all necessary calculations are evaluated.
We are supporting Finland's carbon neutral target 2035.
We are constantly developing our operations, reducing the environmental impact. In the table below, you can see our carbon footprint per piece (B2 sheet as a reference, with products on 2 sides):

Real environmental actions
In order to lower our carbon footprint, we have made the following development steps in our operations:
- Company cars are fully electric or hybrid
- Clear packaging plastic is recycled
- Introduction of Kaukokiito Bio – ecological cargo service
- The electricity we use is produced entirely from renewable energy sources
The future goal is to reduce the carbon footprint per sheet every year. In 2027, we aim for 30% recycled raw material to be used in laminating films. We are discussing the introduction of products with a smaller carbon footprint with raw material suppliers.
A responsible employer
Responsibility for the well-being of employees is an essential part of accountability and enables success. PREMERKO's responsibility is also reflected in the well-being and respect of employees and workplace safety.
Employees have valid health insurance. Occupational accidents and near misses are reported and monitored. Thanks to appropriate protective equipment, lighting and guidance, there have been no occupational accidents for years. We use the Eco Online safety information management system, which provides quick access to information on handling and protecting chemicals at every workstation. Our company is audited by third parties, such as insurance companies and customers. Audits are used to develop our production and the way we operate to be even safer.
